L’FREAQ is the alias of singer/songwriter Lea Cappelli, who crafts songs inspired by pop and R&B but with a biting edge.

Some highlights of her career include performing privately for Muhammad Ali, sharing the stage with Jakob Dylan, and performing with Grammy winning artist India.Arie. L’FREAQ released her debut EP “Weird Awakenings” to critical acclaim in October 2018 and was voted one of NYLON’s 20 Best Releases. 

PLAYBOY used the title track “Weird Awakenings” in its groundbreaking video of actor Ezra Miller, while another song from the EP, “I’ve Become a Thief” was featured in the trailer for the CW’s hit show Riverdale. Recently her song “Take You Down” from her sophomore EP Showgirl was used on the #1 trending Netflix show “Love is Blind.”  She has amassed over one million streams as an independent artist and continues to creative direct all of her own projects.

Separately from her main project L’FREAQ, Lea Cappelli starred as Amy Winehouse in the Las Vegas show 27 last year at The Virgin Hotel. She received over 16 million streams for a separate project, Ghost Monroe, that was featured in the Netflix original film 365 Days, & is also the lead vocalist in rock band Mojo Juju.

L’FREAQ’s first full length album “The End of the World” is set for release October 28, 2022.
